Welcome to my blog! I started this blog as a place to express my writerly creativity, which is different from—though closely tied to—my artistic creativity. I am just beginning to stretch my creative writing muscles.
Like writing, life is a process, and I am constantly working on the newest revision of my life as new life challenges are thrown into the mix and others are removed. Just when I think I finally have all the pieces in place, a new piece is thrown at me (or to me). One of the things we can always count on is change; the challenge is to figure out how to embrace it and use it to make us better and help us grow!
I am a mother, a writer, an editor, a teacher, and an artisan, and I am always working to find a way to maintain balance. As often as possible, I try to add some laughter to the mix. I live deep in the Northeast, where I don’t always appreciate that there are four distinct seasons with many “mini-seasons” thrown in for variety. But then again, I can’t think of a more appealing climate.
